<p>I would like to have a logo designed for an annual music festival. The name of the festival is "Afro Tropic". I'd like a symbol and the name incorporated into the logo. No tagline.</p><p>Here is some info about the festival which may help:-</p><p> </p><p>The festival is basically a Black Music Festival.&nbsp; The "Afro" part of the name alludes to the main focus of the festival which is on modern live and DJ'd African music, such as Afrobeats and Amapiano, plus some traditional elements of African music, such as drumming and dance.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 0.875rem;">There would also be Carribean musical elements in the musical acts, such as Reggae and Dancehall.&nbsp;</span></p><p>We are based in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland, Australia, with the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest on our doorstep, so the "Tropic" part of the name on one hand alludes to the location being tropical.&nbsp; "Tropic" also alludes to the geographical origin of some of the non-African musical artists who may perform. These could range from northern Australian Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Papua New Guinean, Melanesian and Polynesian acts.&nbsp; </p><p>I don't want an African map or African drum as part of the logo. I just need a symbol with the Afro Tropic name incorporated into it somehow. The font and/or symbol could be modern looking and do not necessarily need to have an African/ tribal look, but I'm open to options which might explore that to some extent.&nbsp; </p><p>I'm not sure about colours but probably no more than three or maybe four colours maximum in the logo. Maybe focusing on red/ orange/ yellow and possibly green and/or light blue.<br></p>
