What the contest holder asked for
- Company or website name
- Western Veterans Vitorial
- Slogan or Tagline
- A Sacred Space for Grateful Hearts (doesn't need to be integrated into logo however)
- Describe your company and organization and target audience
- Our organization is Operation Welcome Home AZ. We are a nonprofit focused on creating community traditions of patriotism. We have programs including ceremonies for military service people recently returned from deployment as well as military appreciation month programming where we teach 5th grade students about military service.

We are building a what we call a "vitorial." A Living Memorial that combines the honoring, remembrance and impact of memorials with the teeming, inspiring life of a park as well as the programming and inter-generational interaction of a museum. Our vitorial includes: a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall; installations honoring the individual and collective sacrifice of our veterans from every major American war; a 8 foot bronze battle cross with a suspended eagle casting a protective shadow over it within a reflecting pond; a "consequences of war" pavilion with 2 ten foot cut outs of veterans who took their lives due to PTSD; a "walk of tranquility" and labyrinth; an orchard and garden for mending through tending programs, and two buildings - an education and resource center. This sacred space is what we call the "Western Veterans Vitorial."
- The design should have the following
- Clean, classic and modern. Earth tones or possibly gold and silver. The design should feel warm and heart-felt. It should feel like healing or new life.

Please see the rendering of the park attached at the bottom. It may be hard to see in the picture but the angles of the buildings are a reflection of the angles of the Vietnam Memorial Wall which is meant to be symbolic of arms around the park and arms around our veterans. Would maybe like to see a very simple nod to that line/angle with the WVV.

The park is about Reflection, Healing, and Inspiration.

The facility and space is a place where community gathers, veterans and their families come to heal, the youth comes to learn and where events and traditions of honor and remembrance take place. The inter-generational interactions at the site are very important. We are rebranding, including the name of the space which previously was named "Welcome Home Veterans Park." The logo integrated a heart into it. The new name "Western Veterans Vitorial" also has nice initials WVV.
