Paladin Dermatology is a start up that will be launching multiple dermatology practices throughout the state of Virginia in the USA; and potentially neighboring states. The business model is to locate in areas that are traditionally under-served by dermatologists. Most of these specialists live in very large metro/urban areas that are desirable. This leaves the vast majority of the state (outside of these large metro areas) under served by dermatologists leaving patients to travel more than an hour to be seen. Because of this dynamic, a lot of skin diseases go unchecked and many can be life threatening, like skin cancer. The Paladin Dermatology clinics will be located everywhere and through this vast network of clinics throughout the state, patients will not have to travel far to, not only be seen by a medical professional, but have all complicated procedures performed at their nearby clinic (no referring out to other surgical specialist). Also, because of this supply/demand imbalance, most dermatology practices have a long wait time for new patients (2 - 3 months on average). We will staff the practices and open up the right number of locations to ensure a new patient can always make an appointment right away. No wait times!
