We have considered unique text, icons with our name in or next to it as well as other styles. We would like something professional looking. We would like to see some different ideas at designers discretion.

Colors to use in the design
Not specifically. I will say I have been very impressed by the work submitted by designers on this site. The work submitted for professional consulting firms, motivational speakers and law firms are great. But also, a logo that's different would be really good.
