Front Edge Publishing (FEP) has invested five years in developing a flexible, automated software toolset for professional publishing that enables rapid distribution to readers via all forms of the “book,” including print, e-editions and multi-media enhanced editions. FEP’s system also allows rapid, flexible modification of those books for specific events, audiences or seasons. For example, if an author will be speaking at an event, it is fast and inexpensive to customize a cover, add a new forward or customized chapter, and produce a specific number of copies just for that event. Already, FEP is working with a wide range of pilot projects with content generators who are organizing themselves into semi-independent imprints, anticipating large-scale expansion of this new segment of the publishing market. Target audience are professional 'content creators' who wish to begin using the time-honored but rapidly changing format of the book to communicate their professional content. Customers will quickly be able to establish themselves as independent 'imprints' using our services and tools to turbo-charge the process of book production and distribution.
