In September 1914, one of Australia's first submarines, HMAS AE1, disappeared with all hands in waters near Rabaul (now part of Papua New Guinea). Despite a search at the time and several times later, no trace of the submarine or its crew of 35 has been found.
The project needs Government support to mount a search and a logo that captures the need of the descendants to understand the fate of their forebears and a logo that encapsulates these messages.
