Probably because in the first contest they didn't get what they wanted.

Hello Everyone, we just awarded a winner from the last contest. True, we did not get exactly what we were looking for and so are running the contest again. Thank you everyone.

afaigel: You will most likely want the design in Vector format, as vector is scaleable to whatever size you may need. Are you on a tight printing budget? Just bear in mind that the more color there is in a design, the more it will cost to print.

It looks too similar to one logo i found online.... People: go to google and type 'a tooth cartoon' and in the images section....you will find something so close to this highest score logo right now.

kwangnaruk If you find that a submission is a copy of someone else's work, you're supposed to deal with it in Design Court, not here in the comments section.

They're going to look alike, not much you can do about it. Every human being has the same 32 teeth, break that down by left and right and you are now down to 16. Limit yourself to molars and now we're down to six . . . unless you want to incorporate every detail of tooth morphology (which would be rediculous in this case) into your design it will be impossible to tell the difference between a third molar, second molar or first molar. So now we're down to just one option, a basic molar. The very reason why, when I do signage for professionals, I avoid cliché symbols. In this case, the customer is looking for a "Franchise" looking icon that identifies with the middle class. I think in this case, if the CH is trying to convey the message that they are inexpensive that they should come right out and say it. Instead of a cartoon character, just say "First Visit $39" or something to that effect. Ultimately the goal is to get them in the door, not too many businesses have a cartoon character on their signage . . . Chuck E. Cheese is all I can think of. McDonal's, Disney, Energizer . . . all businesses with famous mascots, don't put them into their signage or logos. Just my opinion, hope it helps.
