BUCK is a lifestyle brand for people interested in outdoor sports (running, hunting, hiking, bmx biking)
The organization is a tribute to our close friend, Buck Smith, who passed last August. The organizations founders met Buck in the Marine Corps and served closely with him on tours to Iraq in early 2000s. Buck was the most talented, physically and mentally, of any Marine I knew. He finished first in his class of over 100 in special operations Recon School (ARS), Combat Dive School, and SERE school. However, he had back issues after getting out that led to dependence on pain medication (opiates) which eventually led to his death.
Buck will be an organization that seeks to memorialize him while also raising money on behalf of his son (and, down the road, on behalf of veterans who are struggling with addiction issues)
Phase 1: generate awareness by selling t-shirts, hats, and coffee (BUCK loved coffee)
Phase 2: create an endurance event (e.g. ultramarathon, obstacle race) on his behalf
