Arteko, that is pretty poor, every design here will have some inspiration from some other logos. It's virtually impossible to be truly original now days. looking at the logos in question I do not agree with your statement.

Arteko, i dont agree with your examples, but i do agree in general, beacuse i feel have seen that design some where, and its closer than your examples.. but i dont know where exactly, so i cant be sure, but have seen it more often as a water drop design like this http://www.misipile.com/portfolio/excess.png or this http://www.entheosweb.com/logo_designs/images/4127-m.jpg but again.. is it a common idea? i am not sure either way, so i cant commit to say the design above is not orginal.. but i do say, it is rather generic.. if that makes more sense..

that being said, there are other designs here that can be classified the same way.. like ansu 62922 is one part short of being just like this one (second row, 2 down) http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/6674321/2/istockphoto_6674321-nature-related-symbols-for-logo-design.jpg so i do suggest that people do work a bit on originality.. but there are some really good designs here too.. you can tell who put in the time.. so overall i wouldnt worry about what others do.. do your own best..people will see it for what it is.. just as you see the good, and the flaws in others..

There are some really good designs here.. conversely, there are also alot that are extreemly generic, and could arguably be similar to hundreds of other designs out there.. I say, for 210 dollars, people shouldnt be so lazy, and should be ashamed to offer something that took so little effort in terms of thought and execution. I could point to a bunch right now, but as i advised another designer, i wont worry about it, beyond cautioning the CH to really make sure he is getting an original creative design.. kudos to some, some are great! the rest.. you know who you are..

To RedLion *** CHALLANGE *** You are right but see entries 64194 #. I challange Its 110% orignal. I have not seen this earlier. See the strenth and indepth look of the logo. Its tasty, simple, short and striking.

arteko....thats a water drop!!no need to mention,can u think how the OIl drop will look? will look rectangle or triangle?in general i agree but not an ur example,as designer we all will have a same something ( maybe )to do,will show how the idea work,see all submission on theperfectdesign logo contest,5000ppl eneter to get $5K there,all designer have a bit same on their submission,and thats possible boy.......

Arteko ... Ur not supposed to use this comments section to blow a trumpet up your own a*se. Just worry about your own design and less about putting others peoples design down. that's for the CH to do.

I just read the comments above, and I just have to put my two cents in...Arteko, designers like you give all the rest of us a bad name. It isn't your place to call out another designer on their designs. What if someone originally drew a part of their design, and it looked EXACTLY like something else you've seen? What if you "assumed" it wasn't original, and you called them out on it? Basically, the same thing you've done. You would only come out looking like a tool. Also, sometimes designers FIRST entries are pretty generic so they can try to find a direction to go. If I were you, I would just worry about my own designs. Let the criticisms come from Hatchwise and the CH's. I know we're all competing with each other, but have a little respect for other designers. They're just like you. :)
