the 5-day a week show for remarkable educators (including the slugline is optional)

Describe your company and organization and target audience

My podcast is targeted to busy k12 educators from kindergarten to 12th grade. The show is 10 minutes and many educators listen to it on their morning commute. The idea behind the show is that is something any educator can fit into their day. We have over 400 shows and already 1.2 million downloads, but the logo really needs a revamp. You can see what we have now at www.coolcatteacher.com/podcast --
The audience is largely female (because teachers are) it does have a technology bent and one of being remarkable for your students by having an approach that is fresh and technology infused. It isn't about the technology totally, but about being excellent, knowledgeable, relatable and one of those remarkable teachers who changes the life of the children they love to teach.

I work hard to encourage teachers to feel loved, hopeful, and that even though we have a tough career, that it is something they can do, one small step at a time. I want to be a voice of support and encouragement for a profession that is struggling right now. The world may not love teachers but I do and I am one.

That said, the show is approachable and features many teachers from around the world. the big idea is that it is fast and every teacher can find 10 minutes in their day to amp up their learning and become more remarkable.

The design should have the following

The slogan does not have to be in the logo. In fact, it should be simple and impactful. It will be used on the podcast, so it should meet itunes specs. (Podcast feeds contain artwork that is a minimum size of 1400 x 1400 pixels and a maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels, 72 dpi, in JPEG or PNG format with appropriate file extensions (.jpg, .png), and in the RGB colorspace. To optimize images for mobile devices, you should compress your image files.)
I am listed as a top podcast in the K12 space on the iTunes store, so you can see what those look like - here's a list of some others - https://itunes.apple.com/us/genre/podcasts-education-k-12/id1415?mt=2
I am known as the Cool Cat Teacher - and my picture is at www.coolcatteacher.com/bio . Many people have their pics on their show. I've tended to want to put the spotlight on teachers so I've veered away from pics lately. I don't want the cliche of apples or anything.

You can see my blog and the colors used there. My fave color is blue, it is trustworthy but as for the other colors, I'm open. I want to follow best practices for attracting attention on the iTunes show. I want people to see me as trustworthy and a full time educator. Many other shows are done by teachers who are no longer in the classroom, I'm in the classroom everyday. With AR, VR, AI and so many things happening - the classroom is evolving rapidly so I want educators to know if they listen to my show, I'm committed to keep them up to date in a very short time committement each day.

I hope this gives you some thoughts. The main thing is the design must have:
* the name The 10-Minute Teacher Podcast
* with Vicki Davis @coolcatteacher

Byline optional.

This logo will be used for

  • Online (Website, facebook etc.)
  • Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
  • Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
  • Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

No apples or cliche.

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

The old logo uses: 2d568f, 464646, 587e60, c20d00

As long as a deep, beautiful blue color is used -- the royal blue area -- we can look at complimentary colors with it.
