- Describe your company and organization and target audience
- Most events and classes focus on bettering a specific dance style and/or better connection with dance partners. There are very few if any events, workshops, etc. focused on exploring and developing individual style. Solution: Create a weekend focused on a mix of music, a lineup of instructors who teach connection and appreciation for your partner's style, and the fundamental tools of fusion that allow any style to any song. Attendees will be exposed to various musical and body mechanic activities which can influence and support dancing. This would include martial arts, silk dancing, parkour, belly dancing, capoeira, and pole dancing. A melting pot will be created where non-partner dance people will come for music and fun and have a chance to try partner dancing, while already seasoned dancers have an easy opportunity to experiment with new activities.
- The design should have the following
- The So You Think You Can Dance show intro shows various dancers with scientific overlays showing forces, angles, direction, velocity, connections. We want to simply have dance silhouettes like you'd see on most dance studio logos, but with these scientific additions. We would like one of tai chi, one of tango, one of swing dancing, one of close embrace dancing, one of capoeira, and possibly one of aikido.
