New Hampshire Logos
Located in the upper northeastern United States, the state of New Hampshire is known for its strong and rapid industrialization and population growth. After the U.S Civil War, it became a center of textile manufacturing, shoemaking, and papermaking. The Amoskeag Manufacturing Company in Manchester was at one time the largest cotton textile plant in the world.
Today, with its many rugged mountain ranges (including 6,288-foot Mount Washington), NH is a popular tourist destination for outdoor sports.
We have gathered together here a sampling of custom-designed logos created specifically for businesses and companies located in the state of New Hampshire.

New Hampshire Logo Design
Nestled between Maine and Vermont is a fellow mountain state that can rival those neighboring states with outdoor activities. New Hampshire is home to the White Mountains, picturesque hiking trails, and a variety of ski resorts for all skiing levels. Beyond that though, New Hampshire is home to some nationwide companies that bring this New England charm to their brands. Below we highlight three of these brands so you can learn a thing or two from The Granite State.
Timberland
For many, Timberland is the go-to waterproof, all-purpose boot. And for good reason! The Timberland boot is the epitome of what you want your boots to be. The company was founded in 1973 by Nathan Swartz and has grown to generate annual revenue of $1.8 billion. Since its inception, Timberland has grown to sell more than just its iconic rugged, durable, waterproof boots and today sells clothing, additional footwear, and various accessories. You can find Timberland’s headquarters in Stratham, New Hampshire but the company has more than 200 locations, so you don’t have to trek to New Hampshire to buy a pair of Timberlands for yourself.
While Timberland’s logo may seem simple, the emblem has a deeper meaning. The tree emblem is a tree filled with many strong branches. This tree is a direct translation of the word, “Timberland” which means a land covered with trees. This emblem is depicted often next to the brand wordmark, but your eyes first go to the symbol which is why that has become the face of the brand. Whether you are looking at a storefront or a Timberland boot, you can find the tree displayed boldly.
Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is hard to miss. With more than 2,000 locations across the States and the globe, it’s hard to actively not run into a Planet Fitness. The fitness franchise was founded in 1993 after two brothers purchased a Gold’s Gym in Dover, New Hampshire. After closing that location and opening a new gym, under a new name, their Planet Fitness gym franchise idea took off. Today, the headquarters are not far from where the original gym was founded in Hampton, New Hampshire. What brings many people to Planet Fitness is the affordable price point and the “Judgement Free Zone” mentality.
A fitness company needs to stand out and that’s what Planet Fitness does with its logo. The color choices for the design are bold colors - yellow and purple. The wordmark is in a lowercase font that sits within a gear. The gear symbolizes the fitness machines within Planet Fitness and how those will help propel your fitness goals forward. The logo also features a “thumbs up” symbol which represents Planet Fitness’ positive attitude and “Judgement Free Zone.”
Brookstone
Many of us have received a Brookstone catalog over the years. Brookstone has been around since 1965 and since its inception, Brookstone has been a seller of specialty products ranging from tech accessories to massage chairs, to alarm clocks, to pillows and so much more. When the company was founded, it started as a mail-order operation but today Brookstone can be browsed in any of its 30+ stores or online. Today, Brookstone is headquartered in Merrimack, New Hampshire, and the company is owned by Sanpower, a Chinese conglomerate.
Given the wide range of innovative and often futuristic products that Brookstone has sold over the years, it makes sense that the company’s logo would be a straightforward one. The logo features the brand’s wordmark in a clean font. This font is as timeless as the brand and its simplicity allows for customers to not get lost in other features of a logo. Additionally, the simple wordmark is aligned with the logos of similar retailers like The Sharper Image, helping customers associate Brookstone with that same industry.
