Great Britain Logos

Great Britain—the political union of England, Scotland, and Wales—has been a commercial and cultural powerhouse for centuries.
Some of the world's greatest artists and entertainers hail from Great Britain, including Andrew Lloyd Webber, Patrick Stewart, Judy Dench, Florence Pugh, Ed Sheeran, and the Beatles, just to name a few!
Great Britain is also a thriving international business hub, particularly the capital city of London. Many international companies have offices in Great Britain, but even more businesses, large and small, call Great Britain home.

Famous Logos from Great Britain The Island of Great Britain is practically tiny compared to other countries and political bodies. Yet, on this small island, you'll find three countries, 4 native languages, and dozens of subcultures and regional dialects. Great Britain was one of the first countries to take business global in the 17th and 18th centuries. Today, British companies like Twining's Tea, Rolls Royce, Shell Oil and Gas, Lush, Aston Martin, Johnny Walker, Burberry, and Doc Martens are popular worldwide. In addition to being international business powerhouses, the British are also masters of effective logo design.
Twining's Tea While Americans tend to prefer coffee over tea, there is no doubt you have seen the Twining's Tea logo in your local grocery store. But you might not know that the British also used to be coffee drinkers until Thomas Twining opened the world's first tea house in 1706. Historical fans of Twining's Tea include author Jane Austen and even Queen Victoria. The most recognizable aspect of Twining's logo design is the wordmark, which combines a classic and elegant serif font with a sophisticated cursive font. The logo's colors also help convey a sense of elegance and refinement—red, black, and gold. This logo has made such an impact that Twining's has kept it for almost 250 years.
Burberry Burberry is one of the most recognizable names in luxury fashion. Known for its signature Burberry coat, the brand has engaged several celebrity spokespeople over the years, including Emma Watson, Cara Delevigne, and Adam Driver. Burberry has been on the market since 1856. Since its logo was first introduced in 1901, it has undergone several changes. For the first 117 years, the brand used a bold, serifed wordmark accompanied by the image of a knight on horseback. The original logo was red, but later iterations have all been black. The company has also experimented with uppercase and lowercase letters for the word mark, simplifying and adding detail to the knight and adding the brands' location (London). In 2018, the logo underwent its most radical redesign. The knight was removed entirely, and the uppercase block letters of the word mark were changed to a sans serif font. This new logo was very minimalistic compared to its predecessors. The logo was recently altered again at the beginning of 2023. It is still a simple wordmark, but the typeface is slimmer and brings back the original serifs.
Lush Lush Cosmetics' popularity boomed in the 2010s. However, the company began as a supplier for the Body Shop in the 1970s before opening its own store in 1995. Lush specializes in handmade, natural, vegan, and cruelty-free products like soaps, lotions, body scrubs, and the extremely popular bath bombs. Lush's original logo was bright yellow and green, with a bold sans-serif wordmark in white. However, as the brand became increasingly popular, the company altered the logo in the late 2010s. They kept the wordmark mostly the same but changed the color palette to black and white. The goal of simplifying the logo was to emphasize the products' organic simplicity. Bright colors are often associated with younger audiences. However, they are now appealing to a more sophisticated and mature audience by choosing a more refined design.
