Florida Logos

The state of Florida, located in the southeastern corner of the United States, is a vacation hot spot and retirement mecca. Florida is well-known for its balmy weather, bustling nightlife, and year-round golf courses. While tourism and hospitality are major players in the Florida economy, the financial, medical, maritime, and aerospace sectors are well represented as well. In fact, the three logos below represent a slice of Florida’s busy aerospace and maritime brands.

World Atlantic Airlines

World Atlantic Airlines is an on-demand and charter airline service headquartered out of Florida. Originally flying under the name, Caribbean Sun Airlines, the company flew private charters between Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands before getting new ownership and a new name in 2007. 

The World Atlantic Airlines logo has a classic aviator feel, featuring a pair of perpendicular boomerangs in teal and lime green set above the wordmark “World Atlantic” in a deep blue san serif font. 

The tail art on World Atlantic Airlines features a deep blue background with 2 intersecting arcs; one teal, and one lime green. While not identical, the shapes, and colors used on the tail art make the plane’s ownership clear.

Alienware

Florida-based computer company, Alienware, focuses on the production of specialty gaming computers and accessories. It only makes sense that a brand like that would need a seriously sci-fi logo to match.  

The original Alienware logo design featured a large illustration of a disembodied alien head with the Alienware wordmark rendered in a silver metallic Bauhaus-like sans serif. The logo went through a series of rebrandings before landing at the current design in 2016.

Today the logo is a sleek and minimalist featuring the requisite alien head graphic atop the widely spaced letters spelling out Alienware in custom font reminiscent of a vintage calculator display. The entire design is rendered in a clean black giving the once fringe brand a more professional feel. 

ADT Inc.

ADT Inc. has been synonymous with security for nearly 150 years. Originally serving the commercial industry, ADT has become the leading home security provider in the nation, 

The geometric ADT wordmark used today was first introduced during a rebranding in 1936. Originally rendered in black, the letters were changed to white in 1989. 

The blue “stop sign” shape was added to frame the ADT wordmark in 2007, when the company first began to offer branded stickers and signs to homeowners. The marketing worked and the brand's simple blue “stop sign” logo can be seen decorating the front yards and windows of homes from coast to coast.
