- Links to the website
- oldandwashedup.com
- Describe your company and organization and target audience
- Many former athlete’s struggle with aging and feeling less than their younger selves. Declining physical abilities, lingering impacts to daily life from old injuries, feelings of isolation, and new priorities and goals that require new skills and abilities can lead to a declining self-image once an athlete is done with their sport of choice. The Old and Washed Up Athlete’s Association was created because we know that despite all that comes with life after sport, former athletes are the kind of people who will always be competing to be better than they were yesterday. The Old and Washed Up Athlete’s Association helps former athletes embrace aging and change, but continue to compete with ourselves to be better PEOPLE than we ever were as athletes.
- The design should have the following
- I would like to have a single trifold brochure designed similar to the KiwiCo picture included in the design brief that is simply designed with on-brand color schemes but looks adventurous and invites our customers to go on this journey of improvement with us. The brochure is intended to be delivered with subscription purchases and apparel purchases to drive customer acquisition for our online assessments, which will then help us to drive retention. The brochure will be used by customers to track their progress as the complete assessments and engage with us on social media and in person to work through their individual improvement journeys. I would like for the brochure to contain all of the different sports figure images included in the brief similar to the the cover of the KiwiCo trifold brochure included in the brief that says "Welcome to KiwiCo". I'd like for the brochure to show all the images of the different sports figures on this portion in place of the animals with the words "Welcome to the Old and Washed Up Athlete's Association" replacing the "Welcome to KiwiCo". I would also like to change the background environment from a forest or wood theme to something more appropriate for older aged former athletes...still having the image represent the sports figures going on a journey. I would like the first page after opening the trifold to contain a similar section to the KiwiCo trifold stating something to the effect of "We're so glad to have you as a part of the Old & Washed Up Team"...with additional text to be provided before the final design is finished. I would like this section to introduce our new customers to our brand identity character "Father Time" who is the head shown on each of the sports figures. The image with the gray sweatpants should be the lead character used as "Father Time". The inside of the trifold should contain a map that has open spaces similar to the KiwiCo trifold inside. The spaces should be arranged in a similar fashion to act as a journey map, with 14 spaces to allow for people to write down relevant info at the "Start" then 12 spaces for each month of the year, then a final "Finish" for where they finish after the year. Throughout the map each sports figure character should be featured similar to the KiwiCo characters - Steve, Zoe, Janice, and Rufus. The "Father Time" figure with shoes on his shoulder will be our lead character called "Unc", and he should take the place of the KiwiCo lead character Steve. The kneeling track and field figure's name is "Flo" The softball figure's name is "Vee" The sitting football figure's name is "Dee" The soccer figure's name is "Pee" The baseball figure's name is "Gee"
