Featured Design Contest: Yggdrasil Designs – Woodworking Company Logo

This client reached out because they were looking for a new logo for their business. They’re a company that makes woodworking crafts and projects. They were looking for a logo that they could put on their business cards and online store for marketing purposes. They wanted the logo to include the Yggdrasil tree, saying in their contest brief, ‘Yggdrasil is the “tree of life” in Norse mythology. They requested that this idea be incorporated into the design and Hatchwise creatives got to work on their entries! Let’s see all the details!

This first entry only uses two colors to display the logo, with the company name right in the center of the logo. Above is the requested tree, with grass and smaller trees around it. The logo is simple, clean, and in a circle. The design subtly conveys what the company does while showing a classy and simplistic design that stands out.

This design is different with a touch of color included, the two main colors included being brown and green. This one includes green leaves on the tree in the center of the design inside of a circle. In the middle of the two outer circles is the edge of a saw and stars on the bottom of the design.

This design uses brown and light green in the logo. The bottom part of the tree is shown in brown, while the leaves above are in green. The upper part of the company name is in brown and the bottom part is in green. The design is merely a straightforward entry, with only the tree and company name included. This has what the client requested included while still being unique.

This entry uses a simple green and lights brown font to show the company name with the tree above it. The design is unique and different from the other entries given. It’s elegant and stylish, with more focus being on the tree than the name of the company. The tree is detailed and has small elements that make it special.
