About Us
Recovery Shop, the "One-Stop-Shop" for meeting materials, recovery medallions, and 12-Step gifts. We are a dedicated to providing recovery communities with high-quality gifts and services at prices well below our competitors.
Founded in 1998, the journey of the Recovery Shop (formerly known as the Recovery Emporium™ - 1998-2015), has seen much in the way of growth from the early efforts of husband and wife team (co-owners - Lyle and Theresa P.) selling Little Big Book Dictionaries out of their bedroom closet to today serving as the largest retailer of recovery gifts and items in the world.
The growth of Recovery Shop has afforded a warehouse style location, a number of great employees (as many as nine at one time), the development of friendships all over the world, and an ever-expanding selection of unique 12-Step gifts.
Our dedication to providing our customers with unique recovery-related gifts has led to the creation of a number of recovery-resource books (including both the Little Big Book and 12 N 12 Dictionaries), a variety of uniquely styled recovery medallions, and allowed for the development of our own line of customizable laser engraved plaques, recovery medallions, and 12-Step gifts.
A commitment to low prices has earned Recovery Shop the title of “The Low-Price Leader,” but Recovery Shop is more than just a vast selection of unique products, expedited shipping and handling services, and unbeatable low prices. What separates Recovery Shop from similar retailers is our focus on customer service.
Our customer support team (comprised entirely of people in recovery) are available to assist you Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm (EST). Whether by phone, email, or in-person, our aim is to ensure that every customer has the opportunity to speak to an "actual person." A person capable of answering questions, offering suggestions, and ensuring that you get what you want and when you want it.
While our store hours may end at 4pm, our website remains available 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. The opportunity to serve as an e-commerce, or online business, has made it possible to serve recovery communities worldwide. Though we welcome walk-ins at our Parkersburg, WV location, one may notice that our store is setup more like a warehouse than a traditional retail store. Please do not let this deter you from stopping in to visit with us when you are in the area.
