Who we are:

Defining "Prime" in our life stories.

Describe your company and organization and target audience.

The Old and Washed Up Athlete’s Association was created because we know that despite all that comes with life after sport, former athletes are the kind of people who will always be competing to be better than they were yesterday. ​

The issue is, when our sports careers end, new responsibilities, new priorities, and new focus areas in life require the development of skills other than the physical skills of sport, but we have no objective way of assessing and evaluating the value these new skills add to us as a person, to our families, or to our lives in general after sport.

As athletes we used 40-yard dash times, bench press or back squat amounts, batting averages, vertical jumps and a litany of other metrics and tests to assess and improve ourselves physically, but never learned how to combine those physical indicators with other measures of personal “Wellness” to find out who we were as a holistic person.

So now, as former athletes, is it surprising that after our sports careers end, we wind up watching current competitors or old game films of ourselves feeling like the “Prime” of our life’s story must be behind us?

The Old and Washed Up Athlete’s Association helps former athletes embrace aging and change, but continue to compete with ourselves to be better PEOPLE than we ever were as athletes. By focusing on holistic development and assessments, we provide former athletes with tools, resources, and an expanding network of former athletes to team up and compete with in a way that is meaningful to the new chapters our lives (ie…being able to play with our kids without pain, prolonging or eliminating the need for costly medical procedures, improving our relationships and communication skills…etc), and so we can continue to put numbers on the scoreboard the way we once did as athletes.

The design should have the following:

I would like it to be built around the words "Get Back Pack" and playing on the Retro tastes of our target audience and a goal of influencing them to "Get Back" in "Shape".

Intention is to make this look "Retro" but contemporary as our target audience is former athletes (30+), who may have been born in the 70's or 80's.

This logo will be used for:

Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
Online (website, online advertising, banner ads etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
Television/screen

We do not want this in the entries:

No colors that clash with the main logo head seen on oldandwashedup.com or the dominant color scheme of that main logo head.

Retro script for this logo should match or be in line with the font found on the apparel found on our site.
