Safety Vision 2020 - Setting our Sites on Safety
Describe your company and organization and target audience
We are medium-sized commercial general contractor who has literally built billions of dollars worth of iconic properties along the Las Vegas strip. We recently built the Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, for the professional baseball team; the LV Aviators. A couple of years ago we built the T-Mobile Arena. We are currently building 2 new convention centers at Wynn and Caesars'. Obviously, with these types of high-profile projects there is the very real threat of devastating safety incidents. Therefore, we take safety very seriously. Each year we conduct an annual safety kickoff event, to help educate, motivate and inspire all of our building partners. We invite industry partners, such as; OSHA, our clients, other general contractors, architects, designers, etc., and truly encourage them to embrace safety with us. Each year we create a safety campaign, complete with artwork and slogan to help promote that year's initiatives. For the upcoming 2020 year we have decided on the slogan: 2020 Safety Vision, a play on 20/20 vision. We also chose the subtext of "Setting our Sites (intentionally spelled sites, not sights) on Safety. Again, a play on the word 'sights', actually referring to our construction sites.
