Do you want any slogans or taglines on your logo?

Here are some examples of logos and images that we like: http://tinyurl.com/cr6r6ds http://tinyurl.com/d6xa5un http://tinyurl.com/create.php http://tinyurl.com/czwqkoj http://tinyurl.com/dyhhak9

Service or product provided:

Steelhead Fine Goods creates custom handcrafted leather goods and specializes in men's accessories such as wallets, belts, and bags. The aesthetic of our products is influenced by vintage American workwear. http://steelheadfinegoods.tumblr.com

Target audience:

Our target audience is men, ages 18-40, who are drawn to the idea that a well-made handcrafted item is superior to one that is inexpensive and mass produced. Many of our customers are interested in Americana, vintage style, and classic denim.

What should come to a customers mind when they see the logo:

The logo should inspire a sense of rugged sophistication and nostalgia for simpler times.

What should not be in the design:

The name Steelhead is a direct reference to the species of trout that were once abundant in Southern California streams and rivers. However, we don't have any interest in having a fish in the logo.

How will the logo be the used:

The primary use of the logo will be for a maker's mark used to create an impression in leather goods so it's probably best in b&w. We would love for the logo to be used for general use as well (website, business cards, etc.) if possible.

The design should have the following:

We would like the style of our logo to be bold and simple with the refined look of many logos and union labels from the turn of the century through the 1930s. The word Steelhead should be prominent and Fine Goods can be almost like a subtitle.
