Describe your company and organization and target audience

Skate Regina is a figure skating club with over 350 members registered in Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Junior Prep, STARSkate and Competitive as well as Junior Power and Advanced Power. Skate Regina is a non-profit organization operating under Skate Canada - Saskatchewan which is a non-profit sports governing body who is affiliated with and governed by Skate Canada.

Skate Regina is a year round training centre offering ice 5 days per week from April-September (6+ week summer program) and over 20 hours/week from October -March (7 days/week). We offer full on-ice and off-ice programming and have access to daytime ice.

Skate Regina provides opportunities for everyone to pursue their passion and achieve their goals through the delivery of Skate Canada programming in a nurturing environment of excellence. There is something for everyone, whether you want to develop your skating skills for recreational skating, competitive figure skating, or hockey/ringette.

Our target customers are 25-45 year old parents of young children, making at least $60,000 per year, living in Regina and surrounding areas, really care about providing every opportunity to excel for their children, enjoy watching and playing sports and doing things as a family.

The design should have the following

The current logo is the Skate Canada logo with "Skate Regina" added to it. It was not created as a unique logo for Skate Regina and therefore we want something unique, fresh and gives the image of being prestigious.

The design should have something representing figure skating - images of skater(s), blades, or something that gives the impression of skating. The logo must have "Skate Regina" on it but it does not have to include the tag line. We would like to see options for both. The design should show motion of a blade on ice but figuratively, not literally. We are looking for creativity here. If there is a way to incorporate a maple leaf (or many maple leaves) to show we are part of Canada, that is optional, not mandatory. We want our logo to portray high calibre, powerful, championship status.

We have included some sample logo designs that we like.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

The design should NOT have Skate Canada nor any of the Skate Canada logo elements. To clarify, the maple leaf is ok but just not the specific maple leaf element from the Skate Canada logo. If you wish to see the current Skate Canada logo, please visit our website www.skateregina.ca.
