Describe your company and organization and target audience

Sjfoodnerds=South Jersey Food Nerds. My husband and I are putting together a blog to share our recipes mostly made with local southern NJ produce. My husband was a chef for 20 years before changing careers to a biologist and I am a government Economist by trade. Our target audience is anyone interested in food, especially home-style produce based and related recipes. We can a lot and plan to blog about making and canning tomato sauce, jams and other goodies! We grow lots of our own produce and get most of the rest from farmers in our own neighborhood! We grow lots of herbs. All of our produce is as organic as possible. We are nature lovers as well. We also make wine from our own grapes. We plan on making cheese and lots of other projects. So, as you can tell we are nerdy about food!

The design should have the following

We are looking for something really balancing the lines between fun and classy, trendy yet classic, serious and silly. One thought we had is a cartoon like graphic with my husband and I. I have long red hair and classes(blue eyes). My husband is tall and lean with short hair, a few tatoos. But this is just one idea. I am open to different creative ideas!
