Describe your company and organization and target audience
Competitors in the industry are Cavalry Logistics (The company I started and sold) - can get an idea of what I like. Other competitors are Convoy, Uber, Coyote Logistics. Can call on customers like Kraft, Costco, P&G ...but also small companies. Like logos that are simple, strong, fun and will appeal to millennials that they would be proud to wear on hat or shirt. Complex designs don’t transfer well. Could just market Sage?...I think that would be cleaner? My company is a transportation brokerage. We act as a middle man between Trucking Company and Shipper.
The design should have the following
The Cavalry Logistics Logo that I had created had dashes in it signifying the road. One of the things I liked about Coyote Logistics logo is how the bright green really stands out. Could include - leaf, pallet, box?
I picked the name Sage Freight because Sages are good and virtuous people. Also, they serve as a mentor, advisor, facilitator, counselor, coach and role model. Many of our competitors think that just technology can be a competitive or by hiring a bunch people. I believe that Culture is formed in 4 ways - the right PEOPLE, who have PURPOSE, following the right PROCESS will produce PROFITS. I also like that burning sage cleanses a space of negative energy as well as creating wisdom and clarity, and to promote healing. I like that part of SAGE much better than just having GREEN. I think that SAGE GREEN could be a dynamic accent color tied to earthy tones?
I want my brand to promote the fact that when I led my former company that people were the priority. I met with 350 people 2x a year to make sure they were getting what they needed from the company and if they were hurting in any way. PEOPLE / TECH / COMBINED and DIRECTED is very powerful.
This logo will be used for
- Online (Website, facebook etc.)
- Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
- Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Colors to use in the design
Sage Green, anything bold...not crazy...earthy tones with SAGE as strong accent? I am very open minded..want the logo to fit the millennial culture....I am 48 so I am not sure I know what cool is anymore?
