CONDENSED DESIGN BRIEF

Company or website name

Reptile Recorder

Do you want any slogans or taglines on your logo?

Sleek Orange Reptile Logo for Web App and FB and IG User Icons

Who we are:

n/a

Describe your company and organization and target audience.

This logo is for a website application that allows reptile breeders and general owners to keep track of their animals and breeding projects.

The design should have the following:

I want the name/initials incorporated (RR). Because this website is general across many reptiles, no single reptile should be singularly emphasized (exception, see below). But maybe incorporate general reptile characteristics like paw prints, etc with the RR. Although, since snakes (specifically ball pythons) is the initial focus of this website I would be okay if a snake aspect was incorporated (a non-threatening snake: no cobra heads, open mouths with fangs, etc.)
I would like this design to be able to be easily adapted to have a circular form factor since it will be mainly used as FB and IG user icon.
When designing the icon logo, keep in mind how it may be extrapolated to a website name where the whole name (Reptile Recorder) can be shown. This will likely be a follow-up project.
I want an orange color scheme.
Solid colors.
[[ I just had an Idea, maybe incorporate the RR with a checkmark (which is representative of my website) and maybe the checkmark morphs into a snake at some point or the checkmark is actually a snake entirely. Maybe overlay the RR with the checkmark/snake so that part of the right R is covered? just a thought ]]

This logo will be used for:

Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
Online (website, online advertising, banner ads etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
Television/screen

We do not want this in the entries:

This logo should not be overcrowded, I want it to look sleek and simplistic.
Not too many colors, stick to a minimal color scheme that best presents the elements of the logo
