Describe your company and organization and target audience

PhotoNoetics is an online photography gallery, blog, and eventually forum of discussion, started from a personal project by an award-winning photographer. The primary output of the site is photographs paired with writings, almost like haikus or poems. The philosophy is that the photographic process, done with intention and mindfulness, encourages people to connect more deeply with the world, to slow down, to listen to what the subjects have to teach them, to search for resonance in the world, and have peak experiences. It is photography as a path of personal and perhaps spiritual development. The target audience is thoughtful photographers, film photographers, but also the larger public in that the main "product" of the site (it will eventually have items for sale) is photographs and words, similar to Humans of New York (only it won't be interviewing people, it will be images of and writing about nature, etc).

The design should have the following

"PhotoNoetics" or "PHOTONOETICS" The word PhotoNoetics comes from Greek, Photo = Light, and Noetic = Inner Wisdom, Direct Knowing. Designer has the liberty of experimenting with including part of the definition in the logo, for example "Light & Insight". But that's not absolutely necessary. It *could* include reference to the photographer, Jak Wonderly. "With Jak Wonderly" or something similar.
If we are going to have a logo, now or later, it will be a Japanese enso (circular brushstroke), with the addition of a square painted in the center, touching the insides of the circle. Here is a mock up with some text from an old design for a personal website that didn't get used, but it's the right idea. Just lacks detail. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f96/jakwonder/chimpheader.jpg
Better Enso;

DO NOT Use the camera aperture graphic or any other common photography icon. I will not consider anything but the enso with square as described.
For graphic reference, this is the style of website theme - ultra minimalist. http://demo.themeton.com/acerola/
This site may take the appearance of a photographer's journal - photographs put onto a white page with photo corners. See this ad for reference, but think more white, http://www.sunglasshut.com/wcsstore/SGH/experiences/RLSafari/css/images/rl-safari-image-map2.jpg?01AD=3E2i6BJWEbUdCgGCt_ZmHtxumbSG5CV8Ii3YpSRzuxPgfPvcAJHF6-g&01RI=4F87E3D62437038&01NA=

Open to your creative ideas on fonts. I do like fonts like Aperto and Fritz Quadrata, and brush-style handwritten fonts, but those can get out of hand quickly. Distressing to the lettering is possibility (subtle vintage look)
