What should come to a customers mind when they see the logo:
these guys are professionals but in converse sneakers, not suits. It should inspire confidence by looking established and having a sense of permanence and enduring simplicity about it.
What should not be in the design:
radios, telephones, antenna, TVs, no specific brand references, paint pots or brushes

My ideal would be text and graphic based because simplicity is more important than whether it has an icon or not. However, if you have a great icon I'd love to be persuaded.
