Lake County Contractors Association is changing its name to Great Lakes Construction Association.

-The new name reflects our membership, which reaches beyond Lake County, and will enable us to continue to expand our membership around Illinois and the nearby Great Lakes states.

-By moving to "construction" association, we include those who provide services to contractors, including legal, accounting, marketing, suppliers and more.

-We were founded in 1947 the new Great Lakes Construction Association will continue to provide unmatched networking opportunities, keep you abreast of current trends, labor issues and give you a vital voice in government affairs. We are a clearing house of information for our members.

-In short, we are broadening our appeal and becoming more inclusive--reaching out to younger members of our field--while strengthening our services to make us more vital and vibrant going forward.

Our organization is focused on all types of construction: underground, road and building so we don't want the logo to simply be a vertical building concept. We include everything. Below ground, vertical and above ground. Leave out "Buildings or vertical designs." Other associations in the area use buildings or something vertical for their logo. we are bigger than that.
