Established in 1942, the Cabot Family Charitable Trust is a philanthropic organization that provides grants to nonprofit organizations, primarily in Boston, Massachusetts. Grants are awarded in the areas of arts and culture, education and youth development, environment and conservation, health and human services, and for civic and public benefit. Our overarching goal is to improve the lives of children and families.

The Cabot family has supported charitable work in our state for generations. In 2020, the Trust gave out $2.1 million in grants to organizations.

Our target audience is the general public, as well as the numerous nonprofit organizations, serving people in need in our area, who might like to apply for funding from the Trust.

For the Trust, we prefer a classic, understated look.

The design should have the following:

IMPORTANT: The design should emphasize the ENTIRE name of the organization. Cabot Family Charitable Trust. It is not just the Cabot Family that should be the focus.

The Cabot Family Charitable Trust does not currently have a logo.

We prefer a classic, understated look. We would like something that is versatile, and able to be easily used on our website, letterhead, and email signatures. Our grant recipients typically ask us for a logo that they can list on their website or in annual reports, so something that fits easily into a standard shape (rectangle, etc.) and simple color scheme is important to us. For colors, we like blue. If it has some sort of emblem, it should be specific to Boston.

Further, the "Charitable Trust" should be equally represented as the "Cabot Family" in any design.

If an emblem is included, it's focus should be abstract; not of family.

We use our initials, CFCT, often.

This logo will be used for:

Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
Online (website, online advertising, banner ads etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
