Describe your company and organization and target audience.

We are a software/tech startup working in the audio industry. Our main project is correcting headphones through digital signal processing so that they sound just like the studios where the music was created. In order to do this and amongst other things, we have created a response target curve that represents a headphone's optimal output, hence 'bullseye'.

Initially we are marketing to music producers, audio engineers, and mastering engineers. Eventually, this product will be available to anyone interested in improving the quality of their headphone listening experience. At the moment, our target demographic is primarily young male adults ranging from about 14-29 years old. We want our logo to look bold, cool and modern in order to appeal to this group.

The design should have the following:

We like the potential wordplay of the word 'bullseye', particularly the animal contained within. The bull symbolizes stoic competence and uncompromised passion sometimes to the point of stubbornness. This representation is analogous with the way that we take pride in our product's research and development. The bull should look fierce and dominant, but calm and collected, like it knows something that we don't. At the same time, our focus on perfection is represented by the bullseye/target itself so try to incorporate this as well. Subtle references to sound are welcome, but not required. Feel free to play with these ideas, we are excited to see your creativity.

For the text, use whatever font and stylization you feel works best, but try to keep it simple.

Try to make the logo look luxurious or high-end. We plan to make our products affordable, but we still want our logo to properly represent their level of quality.

For reference logos refer to Red Bull, Lamborghini and the Chicago Bulls. We do not mind if the bull is full body, a front facing headshot or a side profile just make sure that at least one eye is visible.

This logo will be used for:

Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
Online (website, online advertising, banner ads etc.)
Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

We do not want this in the entries:

We do not want the bull to be wearing headphones.

Although we want the bull to look aggressive and masculine we do not want it to look menacing or angry.

We do not want any nose rings or smoke coming out of its ears or nose.

The bull should look like an animal and not a human. In other words, it should not look like a mascot.

The bull should not look hyperrealistic.

If any references to a bullseye/target are made we do not want any arrows or anything resembling the target being hit.

The logo should not be funny.

The logo should not have any stars in them.
