This website will be an extensive guide to traveling the Blue Ridge Mountain range, which stretches from North Georgia to Southern Pennsylvania and contains two national parks and nine national forests. Much of it is connected by the 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway, which was built to connect Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Shenandoah National Park. Our target audience would be mature, educated, affluent professionals drawn by the rustic simplicity of mountain/lake living and getaways. The area (esp. Asheville) is hip, with lots of wineries and breweries, but the focus is on nature and "getting away from it all." Think posh log cabins on the lake, roaring fireplaces, hot tubs with scenic views of fall foliage, trout fishing, and tranquility.

The design should have the following

Mountains and the parkway will be obvious go-to design elements (and we're OK with that), but we want to avoid the generic cliches you'll see when you Google "Blue Ridge logo." Earthy shades of blues, greys, and greens should be the dominant colors, and we'd like enough graphic detail that it's something people would wear on a t-shirt or hat. We want to evoke the spirit of wilderness and outdoor adventure, but with a refined style that also speaks to people with elegant taste. Horizontal logo preferred, similar to the shape of a Facebook page header image.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

Anything generic that looks like click art. We want something 100% original to us, fresh and innovative but with a classic style that speaks to people of all ages. No vertical or square logos.
