Do you want any slogans or taglines on your logo?

Please look at logos of popular, trendy, or well established retail clothing or jewelry stores. As mentioned, we like the classics like Tiffany & Co., Barneys New York, Ann Taylor, and even relatively newer but well-established companies like Piperlime. But we also like modern, trendy boutiques on the web as well. A contrast between classic and modern would be interesting.

We are a retailer of high quality fashion/costume jewelry. We do not sell fine jewelry like fine diamonds or gold.

What should come to a customers mind when they see the logo:

They should think fashionable, stylish, classic, and elegant yet simple and clean. PLEASE think of logos of current companies where women go to shop.

What should not be in the design:

We don’t want to see an actual diamond in our logo. Designers typically integrate fine diamonds or engagement rings into jewelry logos. Since we currently don’t sell them, we’d prefer NOT to see them. We also don’t want anything too “cutesy” or anything too geared toward teens or pre-teens. We don’t want anything too wild – we’d like sleek, sophisticated, modern.

How will the logo be the used:

The logo will primarily be used for our web site and general web presence. The logo will also be used on the small cards that hold jewelry (like earrings and things) and on boxes so the logo MUST be distinct enough that it can be reproduced on paper and possibly stamped onto things. It will also be used in promotional emails, direct mail, paper and electronic coupons, and digital banner ads, and on letterhead and business cards.

The design should have the following:

As of now, we’d like a unique text logo. We don’t currently have an icon, but if a designer can conjure something up, we’re definitely open to it. We want the logo to be clean and relatively simple. Think of classic but still current logos like Tiffany & Co., Barneys New York, Piperlime.
