how can I see your current logo?

It's at timenative.com -- it was done before the brand identity document was created. We love the high quality of the logo and are fond of the little guy (except for the sweat coming off his head, he needed work), but it doesn't reflect the brand personality at all. The typography is pretty bad and we would have had that redone.

The creative brief and brand personality includes details on our demographic target groups, product line, unique identifiers compared to the competition, brand promises and more. Right now there's a logo using the visual language of a person and a plant that we think is exceptional. We would end the contest now with that entry, but we're really interested in seeing what people can come up with focusing on some other aspects of the brand identity guidelines. It talks in detail about curiosity and learning to live naturally in your environment -- that's an important aspect of who we are. "Flourishing" seems to be the word everyone is latching on to. There's a lot more in there. If you've already been working on something dealing with flourishing and plants that you think is great, please submit it.

We really now are looking for non-leafy and non-plant ideas that express some of the other key concepts in the design brief. I think of a flourishing life as one that's about well-being: positive emotions, engagement with life, positive relations, meaning, accomplishment. It's about living life in a way that's natural for you, and thriving in your environment (work, family etc) And for us the key to that is getting curious. That's way, way too much for a logo, we want something simple, iconic and emotive. But those are some of the concepts that we think distinguish us from the competition. We have three broad demographic groups, so please pay attention to the descriptions in the extended brief. An overly masculine or feminine logo will not work for us.

I uploaded a file with some sketches of a guy walking from a dark cave to the outside -- a metaphor that we think may work. This captures the curiosity, exploration and moving from dark to light or into a new world. My sketches are very, very rough. Please, no pointy-limbed people.
