Hi all, thanks for the awesome designs so far! Please exclude the tag line "Deciphering Earth's Stories" from the logo as I think it would make the logo to messy if it was used on a t-shirt or small advertisement.

Hi everyone, the responses to this contest have been overwhelming and fantastic. There have been some truly novel designs. I am narrowing down the options out of necessity, but if you plan to submit more, please note that I am not looking for something corporate, but a logo that balances fun with serious, and gets across that my blog is about geology, but not in an academic or corporate way. Don't be afraid to offer novel ideas as some of my favorite designs are ones that I never would have thought of before this contest.

Hi all, the designs keep getting better, thanks! I just want to say that mountains are not necessary. The logo I uploaded is one so liked because it was simple and elegant and got the point across. It doesn’t mean I am looking for mountains, although many designs have done an awesome job incorporating mountains into them. I wish I had even half the creative talent many of you do.
