Describe your company and organization and target audience

I'm a local woodworker from Chicago. I primarily sell cutting boards, furniture, and other craft items. My target audience is mostly local residents who appreciate mid-century design. My shop is located in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago

The design should have the following

The logo should be horizontal. Primarily the logo will be laser engraved onto wood so it cannot contain super intricate details. I'm open to designs of all styles. I'm a fan of "boxing poster" typography. You can view an example here https://www.jnldesign.com/big-star As far as iconology, I like six-pointed stars as used in other Chicago inspired logos.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

I don't want a traditional woodshop logo that has trees, saw blades, hammers, etc.

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

Colors are ok put primarily the logo will be used in "black/white" situations since it'll be laser etched onto designs. If I had to pick colors to use black and red are my favorites.
