I'm so thankful to all artists who have submitted their designs. There are so many great designs in here from some very talented artists. I've just gone through and eliminated several submissions. I want to be clear that in most cases, I have not eliminated a design because I did not think it was quality work. Instead, the designs were typically removed for one of the following reasons: there was another iteration of your design that I strongly preferred (this was the most common reason); because an animal did not clearly favor one of the Oklahoma state symbols (https://www.okhistory.org/learn/symbols); or because the animal appeared aggressive. I'm looking forward to seeing the remaining submissions!

Here is what I will be looking for from the incoming designs: -Professional and custom font selections (I lean towards favoring transitional style fonts like Times New Roman--but by all means, please use a font that accentuates your design. -Clean designs that are cohesive and not overly busy looking. I'm still open to eye-catching designs that do not include a state symbol. -If you choose to include a state symbol, the symbol should clearly favor the state symbol (i.e., bison should look like a bison and not a bull; a scissortailed flycatcher should have a distinct long split-tail). -Designs should have a peaceful and calming feel to them. For example, when I see a bison, I want to think of resilience and not danger or aggression. Thanks for all your hard work and beautiful designs!
