I am the partner of the company that has opened this project. Sorry for using my partner's account to reply; but I don't know if there is a way to add additional users for a company here... The logo contest listed here was in fact planned to have a deadline at the end of August. We were searching for sites to make announcements; but my partner had added the project here where the longest project lifetime is ten days. We originally made our plan to accept applications until the end of August and pay the prize in September. Opening this project at hatchwise.com was unplanned. We will pay the winner the USD1500 prize in July, two months before we had planned. USD1500 is not a big money; but we too are not yet a very big company. We are a small budget company which has only 13 people working for, including managers. We project every penny to be spent in three monthly plans. We can and will pay the prize as we promised. We could set a prize like other projects such as $200-$400 if we didn't want to get applications without making people to suspect our honesty; but we didn't, because we planned a budget for this logo and we are going to spend it. Nobody is obligated to apply, it's your decision. And nobody promises to pay your designs until they become winner and being a winner is not guaranteed for anybody, is it?
