Describe your company and organization and target audience
The Festival of the Canoe and Kayak (The F.O.C.K.) is a celebration of recreational paddling in Australia. This year - 2022 - is the inaugural event. It's focused on leisure travellers with a family vibe, but we're clear that we're talking to grown ups with our risqué name in our marketing.
The design should have the following
The two VERY rough logo ideas I have are: 1) A poorly sketched and scribbled out drawing of a canoe that then has F.O.C.K.! written next to/below it (as if the person was trying to draw a canoe, got frustrated and yelled out F.O.C.K.!). 2) Two people in opposite ends of a canoe paddling in opposite directions. (like a silhouette, something that makes you think that it's a serious logo until you see they are facing the wrong way) I am mostly interested in a black and white logo. No colour schemes planned - just enough to have a recognisable image on signage etc. I would like to see two versions that have the full text (F.O.C.K.: The Festival of Canoe and Kayak) and the "scribble" icon. One with the icon and F.O.C.K. above the full festival name (eg could be used on a tshirt) and one horizontal (eg used on a website banner). And then 2 versions that only have the icon and the F.O.C.K. acronym: A round one (eg social media icons) and then a square version (eg stickers). I've attached two random ideas to try and explain these.
This logo will be used for
- Online (Website, facebook etc.)
- Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
- Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
- Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
Colors to use in the design
Black and white. 2 tone. At MOST one additional colour, but even then the logo must be reproducible as a silhouette
