Dear Designers, First of all thank you all very much for your work! We are relaunching our whole new CI, so there is no current website to see. We are waiting for a logo, as we want to build the website around it, so you see how important this contest is for us. We have some things to say about what we expect of a logo: 1. We do not like serif-fonts, as we feel that they dont convey, what our products are about. 2. Readability is essential. The logo will appear on a mobile screen, so it hast to work in a small version, thus the illustrations and the Name have to be clear. Right now the giants that we see in your designs are very skillfully done, but they mostly (except the one that Schwehn did) look too much like "fantasy/Gamer-World" for us. They are also getting way to detailed to work in a smaller version of the logo. Please try to be more abstract again. We appreciate your work and will also try to comment on as many of your designs as possible. Thank you!

Dear Designers, This contest has now reached its late stage but there is still ample time for new ideas. One of our staff had the idea to make a "pixelish" logo to emphasise our presence on the mobile platform, where pixel-art is common. If some of you are interested in making something new that might inspire some new ideas. Other than that thank you all very much for your contributions. We have unfortunately not been able to comment as much as we wanted to and we apologise to you who have not received any feedback yet.

Dear Designers, We strongly recommend experimenting with pixels such as 13cranes is doing. We would love to see additional entries from more designers. In general we are very pleased with the pixel-look, but we are of course pleased with other looks as well and this is not meant as a restriction.

Remember to check your final design in solid black and white (*not* shades of gray). Some common uses for the black and white logo are photocopy, newspaper, fax, yellow pages, corproate checks. Check out quicktime's logo guidelines. The logo is equally effective in solid black and white as it is in full color. http://developer.apple.com/softwarelicensing/agreements/pdf/qt_logo_gdeln.pdf The most well recognised brands of the world pass the black and white.
