but i am worried that the logo is not a vector but just a raster pic
wait font was suggested by CH? adding green stroke to the text is not protectable. everyone can use it
I understand what you are saying Digiti but it is false. If you look at my preceding designs, you will see I EVOLVED the design gradually. I never looked at your design to notice it uses the same font and styling the customer was asking me for. It was not copying, it was independent creation.
the point is, it is a copy and I already asked you to change it but you did nothing.
If you follow my designs through the 54 variations I've submitted will see that I gradually evolved my type to that final look, and was not copying Digiti Minimi. All the way through that evolution, the contest holder was asking me to make minor tweaks and changes to the font treatment, and I made them, without ever noticing that her treatment was similar. As the thing evolved, the contest holder gave me directions such as: "The end of the W should be a different angle than the start of the A. I dont like that yours match." And, "I do not like the actual letters touching." And, "Please have a wdge of green come maybe 1/3 of the way down between the W and A. may have to space them a bit more apart or what ever magic you can do. And please put a bit more space between the T and H or do something to allow a bit more background to show through." The font treatment uses a very common styling, using outlines and a few flat lines for a slight 3D effect, and it is based on a very, very common font (Helvetica Black Italic). If it had been some complicated styling and some unique font, maybe I would feel bad. But making a small addition of depth to a Helvetica font, is not that hard or unique. And I created it on my own, following directions from the contest holder. The real point of the contest is they preferred my rendition of a realistic warthog. The type treatment was and still is secondary. But I'm not going to avoid using Helvetica with a tiny bit of depth added just because another designer used Helvetica with a tiny bit of depth added. So, two artists working for the same client, given the same design brief and same color scheme to work with, arrived at a very similar typography solution. However one artist did a more realistic version of a warthog as an icon. End of story.
This is the one I love Matthew. I love the way you have put the green twinkle in his eyes. Creates intensity. Two small things.: 1) can you lighten the face some what. 2) can you turn/pivot the tusks just a very slightly forward, giving it more of a 3D look. ( or will that cut into the face to much? Keep working with us Matthew. Gary has a couple questions similar to mine, but I believe we'll be going with you on this project.
Hello! So here is the first fine-tuned version. I'm looking forward to your feedback. Best regards, Matthew
