Describe your company and organization and target audience

TidePool Skincare is a Maine startup creating skin care products based on natural ingredients, including seaweed, from the ocean waters of the Maine Coast. The first, and primary product will be a face and body lotion created from a specific variety of seaweed that is prevalent in Casco Bay, Maine. The target audience will be users of skin care products that have a tie, or bond, with the bays, beaches and coastal communities within the State of Maine.

The design should have the following

The design should reference the nostalgia of the shore, tidepools and the coast of Maine. Many people that are connected to this state, and New England in general, spent time as kids, or adults, walking the seaweed covered rocks and exploring for creatures and other treasures such as shells and seaglass. I am not opposed to references of water, ocean, or even seaweed. I would like a simple, organic, design that evokes ideas of cleanliness and purity and nostalgia for some of the characteristics of Maine's coastline. Simple design.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

I certainly don't want any "ocean critters" in the design, nor do I want anything in the shape of the state of Maine. The design should not be overly intricate and should not have curly-ques or other unnecessary "fanciness."

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

No preference on colors, at this time, though I am thinking 2 colors in the logo. Would consider up to 3 though if the design was right.
