Describe your company and organization and target audience

We are a small independent deli based in the UK. We stock a broad range of locally sourced, artisan produce including cheeses, cured meats, chutneys and condiments. In addition to great quality products, community is one of our core values, we are approachable, knowledgeable and always happy to see our customers. Our customer cares about what they eat and where it comes from and are happy to pay a slightly higher premium for it.

We are located in a small market town just outside of London, lots of our customers might work in London and have previously lived there. In recent years, a number of independent artisan retailers have opened their doors and we see The Little Deli as complimenting their offerings.

The design should have the following

- unique idea, nothing too obvious
- using own graphics, no stock imagery
- bold, clear, simple and clean - not too over styled
- maximum three colours (would expect to see full colour version, black and white and reverse)
- design concept should fit with heritage style, currently popular with UK independent consumers (I dont want to say hipster...)
- must suit a range of applications; to be used on, shop signage, social media, website, uniforms and packaging
- should clearly communicate our core values (approachable, but appeal to a higher-end customer)

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

- too many colours
- stock imagery
- no animals, sandwiches, pictures of cheese
- not supplied on a mock up of anything (coffee cup, t-shirt)
- not too fussy, obsure or over-designed
- should not exclude any age, race, gender
- should not include any names or imagery of locations
