Describe your company and organization and target audience

My company is a curated product and news site with current video, podcasts and articles about CBD (cannabis derived) being used around the world to improve health and treat long-term medical conditions. I make money whenever someone buys a product from the site, so want to only represent the highest-quality products. I also want to provide lots of information and plain language summaries of articles so people can decide to try CBD themselves. Though this is not a medical site, and makes no promises.

My target audience is someone who likes to control their own healthcare. They are willing to look outside of traditional medicine. They do their own research. They believe in holistic medicine and wellness. They may go to yoga, meditate, love nature. They believe people make their own choices, and may be a bit rebellious against government regulating medical products. They may also feel rebellious against big pharmaceutical companies. They care about their fellow humans. They are caregivers and compassionate. They are not selfish. They believe there is healing in all things natural and that humans should be supplementing traditional Western medicine with more natural ingredients.

The design should have the following

Natural looking
Should indicate trust and friendliness like a favorite news person
Be modern and contemporary; maybe a little abstract
Be friendly and approachable
Look like alternative medicine in some way
Playing with the words "switch" or "switchtocbd" might be interesting instead of a single graphic

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

Do not show marijuana or a cannabis leaf
Do not look too techy
I don't want literal symbols like needles or pills
Corporate colors: navy blue, blood red, black, gold. Can be used sparingly.
Colors that are too light: light yellow, pink, light gray

Open to suggestions. I tend to like:

dark orange
slate blue
rich yellow
jewel tones: especially darker greens
teal

Though this should look like a trustworthy news site.
