I have a drawing, I will try to upload it. In the drawing the base of the vise is red. The actual product has a golden base.

I like the creative use of the word smart and the letter S. However, the image for the logo is not limited to those, it can be abstract, the key is that it communicates what we want about the product. Thanks.

I was unclear. The Logo DOES NOT have to use all four colors: gold,black,silver and white. That is the pallet, the logo can just use two or one of the colors. Sorry for the confusion.

So far, 33357 is the best submission. It is CLEAN and SIMPLE without being SIMPLISTIC and has a LIGHT feel. I think similar designs that use imagery that implies precision and has a sense of motion to it would be a good direction to pursue. It is okay to do something that looks like a mechanical engineer's plans/schematics or precision tools.

I like the idea of the multiple or creative Ss. I think if possible the image should imply motion and if possible it should be lightweight and clean, not too busy.

The concept of COMPRESSION is also a good one since the product is a vise that holds work pieces tightly for precision machining. Which I think is implied in entry #291 and in #144 somewhat.

Er, I have a problem, I have submitted a logo whose original format is PSD(Photoshop). That is not vector, But it's resolution is 400 which is quite good. Is it acceptable?

Thanks for the submissions and I see a very nice progression/evolution of the work and concepts that is very promising. A general comment would be that very CLEAN and UNCLUTTERED logos are the highest rated so far, so that's a factor to consider on new/refining submissions. Please also check the comments I have made on all of the entries to get some more specific guidance on ways to proceed. Again, I appreciate all of the hard work.

I am very angry with myself! I lost a beautiful opportunity becuase I don't know to design in vector softwares :( THe contest holder liked my entry but wanted only in vector! What can I do!??

All entries should be 350x280, at 75 dpi and should be in .jpg or .gif format Only one entry should be submitted at a time, if you want to submit different colors or versions of the same entry, please do it one at a time. No more then one logo per entry. Anyone disregarding these instructions will have their entries taken down and run the risk of having their account terminated. If you have any questions please ask away in the forums.

I don't understand why many of the designs that are getting 5stars are using block-like or all capital letters when you stated that you specifically don't want them. I am going to submit a design without them, but it is sort of confusing =)
