wow. CH should post some ratings so we know which direction to go! remember: Active participation is a sure-fire way to guarantee you will be happy with your design.

There has been numerous comments and instructions posted for many of the designs. Much better system than just a number that doesn't provide any instruction.

not really, see, as a designer im not going to go clicking through every entry to see which ones you left constructive or positive feedback on. if i see high ratings towards one style and low ratings towards another, i can see what style you're leaning towards. the best way to go about it is a rating and a comment, that way the other designers see what you like, and the designer you comment can see further instruction. thanks

aside from that, its nice for the designers to see a rating that shows you actually like their design "this much"

As a fellow designer, I would have to agree with Phraktol. When you start getting alot of entries and change requests, most of the comments just end up being the designer letting you know they made the changes you requested. It gets awfully hard to go through so many entries to read the comments. I would think most of us designers look to the ratings first and as Phraktol said, it gives us a better idea of what the CH is after. It's especially hard to design towards what you think the CH is after when no rating or comment is left at all.

Thanks Ginalin. This was a tricky contest, because the requirements were so specific and it was real tough to avoid replicating another design. I guess it came down to the font type and colors selected since the eye style was pretty specific and many designs were similar. Maybe the direction of the eye played a role too, since they asked for a 'left' eye, and many designers did a right eye.
