Describe your company and organization and target audience

Scissortail Funds will be a new hedge fund launched for purposes of investing in the stock market using the value investing principles of Ben Graham, Warren Buffet and Mohnish Pabrai. My long-term target audience is the sophisticated high wealth investor. I would also like this to appeal to a younger generation of savvy investors who are coming into money and are looking for a smart, long-term way to grow it.

Though my personal goal for creating this company is financial independence, I hope to use the wealth generated from the fund to start a non-profit financial fitness center where anyone can visit to learn and put into practice personal financial principles for free (budgeting, freedom from debt, home buying, investing, managing retirement, etc.). I would love to use the winning designer for future related projects as well.

The design should have the following

- Silhouette, outline or rendering of a scissor tailed flycatcher (state bird of Oklahoma, which is the home state of Scissortail Funds
The scissor tailed flycatcher is a beautiful little bird that has two long tail feathers that spread out into the shape of open scissors. It is a hunter, and uses its long feathers to help it turn on a dime to catch flying insects mid flight. When sitting, their tail feathers extend out quite longer than normal bird's, making them beautiful and elegant both in flight and when sitting on a branch or fence post. Males have longer feathers than females. I want to capture this elegance in a custom-drawn silhouette or rendering. I will leave it to the designer whether to use the bird in flight or sitting in some form depending on your particular approach to the logo.

What style of logo would you like?

Colors to use in the design

Orange, light gray and dark gray/black.

I'm happy with the text either being white/light or black/dark depending on the overall look of the design.

If you look at a picture of the scissor tailed flycatcher, you'll see the pale orange under it's wings. The male bird has more vivid color than the female. The orange should resemble this, but doesn't have to match exactly. I'm looking for subtle, but visible.
