Hi Everyone! Fantastic job in just two days by all! I like many of your designs and appreciate the time you put in and the ideas you can come up with. I've learned a few things as well - I believe I know what I like and don't like and I'd like to share some ideas with you all at this point so maybe we can build on these - I DO like the word 'Sage' itself - I believe when you read the logo it should subtly 'pop', maybe the word can be ever so slightly bigger than the word 'media', maybe a more dominant color, maybe the 'S' be more dominant in size or color - or maybe this will all look ridiculous but I would like the word Sage to be subtly popping out at us. I like a classic font, not so much modern, something fluid and graceful, not blocky, not long and thin either, nor comic, nor difficult to read, not cursive. I believe the entire design can be done in three colors, MAX. Two or three colors and one of the colors is a white or black background. Shading one color light to dark, mirroring, fading - i like it all. As for the pic, it can stand alone or play off a letter but I don't think it should play off any letter in Sage - I want people to see this logo and immediately know the company is named Sage(so not hard to read the letters), I want them to immediately know it's a media company and I would like them to think of something 'clever and insightful' - something 'witty and brilliant' AND/OR something that speaks of 'nimble perception' - damn, does any of this make any sense or all we all logging off? :) Just keep going and I will continue to comment to each of you individually - I am taking this very seriously and and very happy that you are all doing the same. FYI - once this is complete I will also need letterhead, business cards, and immediately, a website design. I use marketing to the fullest extent and your logo will be seen by millions per month. The entire legal industry is in my pocket and attends my events(I cannot tell you who I work for now, shhhh) and the entire government workforce in the U.S. attend all my events as well. We also have 15 separate monthly publications and publish 30-40 200 page reports per year that sell to every library in the legal and corporate world. Let's get this done together and come up with something timeless, shall we? Good luck!
