Describe your company and organization and target audience

Safety Team Brewing Company is a soon to open brewery in Richmond, VA. We are three chill dudes who got sick of doing things for other people and decided to take our years of experience and break out on our own. We're into classic hip hop (80's, 90's, some of the 00's), Jambands (actually, live music in general), good beer, and having fun. We all regularly "puff the magic dragon"...if you're picking up what I'm putting down. Although we are proud potheads, we aren't looking to necessarily make that the FOCUS of any logo design (although some thinly veiled references may be cool.) We're going in to business for ourselves so that we can make the beer that WE want to make, setup the atmosphere the way WE want it, and hear the music WE want to, and we are pretty unapologetic about that.

The brewery tasting room will be fairly sparse. We will invite local artists in to tag the walls and create a setting that celebrates street art/graffiti. There will be a shuffleboard court to blow off steam, and an audiophile quality hifi system to recreate our tunes at the highest possible level.

Our target audience consists of: Beer lovers, music lovers, people who appreciate craft made products, herb smokers, shuffleboard enthusiasts...

We won't tolerate: People or things that aren't mellow, country music

The design should have the following

The design should be twofold. Some sort of typeface for "Safety Team Brewing Company", and some sort of small icon. Initially, we were talking about trying to make the whole thing look like a graffiti tag. "Safety Team Brewing Company" tagged out with a small picture on the side or underneath. We had previously worked with a graphic designer to develop the "hop leaf in pint glass" idea that I have included. We own this idea and it might be cool to manipulate that and explore it further in this context. Don't feel as if you NEED to use this exact idea, however please be aware that the logo should include both text and iconography. The design should also be easily scale-able. We plan on using this logo in various applications, so it should be something that holds visual appeal in any size.

This logo will be used for

  • Online (Website, facebook etc.)
  • Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
  • Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
  • Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

What style of logo would you like?
