Purple Heart Alpacas, LLC is an established business specializing in raising and breeding huacaya alpacas. We are quality fiber producers that process all the fiber on our farm by hand. I started the farm as a hobby and creative way to raise money for wounded warriors. I am a US Army veteran and was injured in Iraq in 2007. I was awarded a Purple Heart medal for wounds received during combat. That is where the name came from. Our customers are anyone interested in spinning fiber into yarn or for knitters to buy high quality yarn for their projects. We donate 10% of our profits to programs that help injured veterans. So some advertising merchandise (T-shirts, candles, coffee mugs) is available for just about anyone who wants to contribute to a good cause.
