Describe your company and organization and target audience

We are a UC Berkeley student run non profit that mentors middle school students here in the city of Berkeley. Our college mentors are role models for their students and form strong relationships with them through bi-weekly mentoring and special weekend events.

Our mission is to provide mentees and mentors with an opportunity to develop special relationships of respect, trust and support. Through one-on-one match-ups with students, Project S.M.I.L.E. seeks to promote and instill values such as the appreciation of diversity, leadership abilities, educational awareness, and a proactive sense of community. We hope to enhance the lives of both the mentees and mentors by creating a generation of motivated and inspirational leaders who are academically enlightened and socially adept.

The design should have the following

We don't have many ideas for what the logo should look like, but we are looking for something not too complicated, preferably 2D (although open to anything). Because we will be using this logo for everything including apparel stitches, we'd like it to be not too intricate.

It would also be nice for our logo to be appealing both for college students and kids since we recruit both groups into our program. (As mentors and mentees).

We are not looking to include or slogan in our logo, only our name.

This logo will be used for

• Online (Website, facebook etc.)
• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)
• Television/screen

Colors to use in the design

Your call! Please try to keep it slick/elegant and simple. It is very important to us that the logo comes off very professional and legitimate.
