We are a tourism organization in British Columbia, Canada, that markets a beautiful, quirky, free spirited, intelligent region that encompasses 100kms and 6 small communities, all along the glacial fed Kootenay Lake. The biggest community, and most popular is Nelson, which is why it is more dominant in the name. Our website is www.nelsonkootenaylake.com. We target adventure travellers and seniors - quite a broad audience. They market within a 10 hour driving radius and reach out to large centres such as Spokane, Calgary, Kelowna and Seattle.

The design should have the following

It could also have an option for adding in "British Columbia" and the word "Tourism" when required to more clearly define the organization.

Nelson can be more prominent than Kootenay Lake.

The design needs to be trendy, hip and cool and represent the free spirit and techno geeks that reside in this region. They are the kind of people we are also attracting.

This could be a wordmark, with perhaps no logo. Keep it simple. One color or perhaps two to make easy to use in all formats.

We work along side the Destination BC logo which is "Super, Natural British Columbia" You can see it on our home page, bottom right corner of the feature blocks. Their font is woodcut Great Forest. If we can be of a similiar personality and be able to compliment their logo that would be great.

This logo will be used for

• Print (business cards, letterheads, brochures etc.)
• Merchandise (mugs, t-shirts etc.)
• Signs (including shops, billboards etc.)

This design should not have this in the entries

Boring, regular fonts that lack creativity. Not corporate.
